Ghana.- Ghana\u2019s gambling regulator, the Gaming Commission of Ghana<\/strong>, has announced the relocation of its head office to Diamond House (PMMC Building)<\/strong> on Kinbu Road in Accra Central,<\/strong> close to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Registrar-General\u2019s offices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development marks the commission’s departure from its longtime headquarters at P.M.B. 195, Kotoka International Airport, 31 Fifth Circular Road, Cantonments, Accra<\/strong>. While the regulator didn\u2019t expressly state its reasons for moving office, the relocation is likely aimed at improving operational efficiency and accessibility, given the new location\u2019s proximity to key government departments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also part of the commission\u2019s efforts to modernise its operations and improve public services. Established by the Gaming Act 2006<\/strong>, the body is responsible for regulating, controlling and supervising the operations of games of chance in the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the proliferation of online gambling, the commission faces the challenge of balancing innovation in the industry with protection for consumers. In its last Gaming Awareness Month<\/a> marked in September 2025<\/strong>, the regulator emphasised responsible gambling via a series of initiatives, including media engagements, school outreach programs and public awareness campaigns.<\/p>\n\n\n
