The handover ceremony, held at the Foundation\u2019s headquarters in <strong>Abidjan<\/strong>, brought together local authorities, ministry representatives and community members from the beneficiary regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The projects span the Autonomous District of Abidjan and<strong> 13 regions<\/strong>, including Gb\u00eak\u00ea, B\u00e9r\u00e9, Iffou, Moronou, G\u00f4h, B\u00e9lier, Marahou\u00e9, Hambol, Worodougou, Gontougo and Haut-Sassandra. They comprise fully equipped <strong>integrated health centres<\/strong>, medical equipment, improved village <strong>water systems <\/strong>and community facilities designed to<strong> uplift the daily lives<\/strong> of Ivorians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abdoulkarim Ouattara<\/strong>, Deputy Director General of LONACI, said: \u201cAccess to clean drinking water is a key factor for <strong>good health<\/strong>. By providing this support, the LONACI Foundation contributes to the well-being of the population and strengthens the capacities of the healthcare system.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>total investment <\/strong>was carefully divided, with FCFA718m (\u20ac1.09m) allocated to construction and FCFA190m (\u20ac0.29m) dedicated to medical and hydraulic equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"505\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/10\/LONACI-FOUNDATION-900x505.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/10\/LONACI-FOUNDATION-900x505.jpg 900w, https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/10\/LONACI-FOUNDATION.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Local authorities, community representatives and LONACI officials come together to mark the handover of 16 health and water projects across Abidjan and 13 regions.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Health and water projects transform communities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In Abidjan, the Foundation handed over <strong>essential facilities<\/strong>, including Treichville and Cocody University Hospitals, and the Angr\u00e9 urban health centre. In Iffou, Moronou and Marahou\u00e9,<strong> integrated health centres <\/strong>were established in Benanou, Bouaffoukro and Kami, respectively, while G\u00f4h received an equipped maternity ward at Grand Gbassi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Medical equipment<\/strong> was provided to Bamela in Gb\u00eak\u00ea and Sogbeni in B\u00e9r\u00e9, and a multipurpose hall was completed in Bondoukou, Gontougo. Several improved village water systems were also<strong> installed<\/strong> across B\u00e9lier, Hambol, Worodougou, Haut-Sassandra and Marahou\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Dramane Coulibaly<\/strong>, representing the Board Chairman, said that these projects reflect the Foundation\u2019s strong <strong>social commitment <\/strong>and align with President Alassane Ouattara\u2019s national social program. He highlighted the Foundation\u2019s broader <strong>Social Caravan<\/strong>, which has already inaugurated healthcare and educational infrastructure across the country, further demonstrating LONACI\u2019s dedication to improving <strong>quality of life<\/strong> nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries,<strong> Djik\u00e9 Raymond<\/strong>, Prefect of Iffou, praised the Foundation as a <strong>\u201ctrue engine of local development\u201d.<\/strong> He said: \u201cOur populations, whether in rural or urban areas, see their daily lives transformed thanks to these donations, which reflect the Foundation\u2019s<strong> solidarity<\/strong> and <strong>commitment<\/strong> in the fight against <strong>poverty<\/strong>.
