C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire.- C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire\u2019s Gambling Regulatory Authority<\/strong> has incinerated more than 110 unauthorised slot machines<\/strong> and related components in Abidjan, reinforcing its commitment to curb illegal gambling and protect the integrity<\/strong> of the licensed gaming industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Autorit\u00e9 de R\u00e9gulation des Jeux de Hasard (ARJH), translated as the Gambling Regulatory Authority, is the national body responsible for licensing and supervising<\/strong> gambling operations across C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire. The Authority conducted the recent operation in collaboration with the Economic and Financial Criminal Unit<\/strong> and the Criminal Asset Recovery Agency<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The destruction<\/strong> involved 110 illegal slot machines, 84 boxes and 13 bags of electrical and electronic components, carried out in the presence of administrative, judicial and traditional authorities. The initiative follows similar crackdowns<\/strong> in other regions<\/strong>, including Bouafl\u00e9, as part of the regulator\u2019s long-term plan to eliminate unauthorised gambling activities nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ARJH said in a press release: \u201cThe action was welcomed by the Sub-Prefect of Bingerville, Kapi\u00e9 Kon\u00e9, representing the Prefect of Abidjan. The Chairman of the Regulatory Council, Jules Dally<\/strong>, recalled the harmful effects of illegal gambling<\/strong>. He praised the foresight<\/strong> of President Alassane Ouattara for establishing the ARJH and reaffirmed the determination of the gaming sector watchdog to wage war on all lawbreakers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director General Kouakou Okou announced that the authority will continue awareness campaigns<\/strong> and host an annual conference with operators and judicial authorities to strengthen collaboration and develop sustainable regulatory solutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
