National Lottery Authority inspects Blue Star 5\/90 Lotto facility ahead of November launch to ensure regulatory compliance and drive local job creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Liberia.- Liberia<\/strong> is preparing for the November launch of the Blue Star 5\/90 Ball Lotto games, with the National Lottery Authority (NLA)<\/strong> conducting a partial on-site inspection<\/strong> of the draw room facility in Paynesville this week. The inspection is aimed at ensuring compliance<\/strong> with regulatory standards and promoting job creation<\/strong> ahead of the highly anticipated November launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lottery project includes a $2.5m investment<\/strong> in modern draw machines, secure ticketing systems and a high-tech facility designed to ensure transparency, efficiency and fairness. It has already created more than 150 direct jobs<\/strong> at the draw room and administrative offices, and Blue Star High Tech Liberia Limited plans to generate more than 1,000 indirect jobs<\/strong> nationwide through point-of-sale agents and field operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inspection, led by Deputy Director General for Administration (DDGA) Ennish Fahnbulleh<\/strong> and Director for Lotto Games Prince Suah, focused on key operational aspects, including the draw room, equipment, security protocols and responsible gaming practices. While initial findings indicate that Blue Star meets several basic requirements, the NLA described the visit as \u201cpartial\u201d, with a full assessment <\/strong>pending the arrival of Director General Peter Solo, who is currently out of the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Driving jobs and responsible gaming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The inspection had a dual focus<\/strong>, according to Fahnbulleh. He said: “We are not just here to inspect for compliance, we are also looking at how these operations will contribute to the local economy<\/strong> by providing decent jobs for our people, especially the youth.\u201d He added that the NLA is committed to ensuring licensed gaming facilities support the broader community<\/strong> and go beyond revenue generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blue Star CEO, Clement Sarpong<\/strong>, welcomed the inspection and underscored the company\u2019s commitment to local communities. \u201cSeveral Liberians are currently employed at the venue in various roles. However, more can still be done to deepen community impact,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Lotto Games Prince Suah urged Blue Star management to remain vigilant in preventing underage participation, safeguarding the integrity<\/strong> and social responsibility of the lottery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players will be able to select five numbers from a pool of 1 to 90<\/strong>, with prizes awarded based on how many numbers match the winning draw. As anticipation builds, the Blue Star 5\/90 Ball Lotto is set to officially launch in early November<\/strong>, with the NLA soon announcing the exact date, marking a milestone<\/strong> for compliance, responsible gaming and job creation in Liberia.<\/p>\n\n\n
