The <strong>launch<\/strong> took place during a three-day high-level retreat in Monrovia from October 8 to 10, bringing together<strong> key stakeholders<\/strong>, management and strategic partners to set a \u2018clear roadmap\u2019 for the coming five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the opening, NLA Director General <strong>Peter Solo<\/strong> said the plan will position the NLA as a <strong>strategic regulator<\/strong> of gaming entities in Liberia, adding that the retreat \u201cmarks a critical journey to shape the future of the organisation\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said: \u201cIn order to achieve <strong>quality performance<\/strong> of the plan, management will put in place a high level of <strong>staff motivation<\/strong> to achieve corporate productivity, define our path forward and chart a course for sustainable growth,<strong> innovation<\/strong> and excellence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Solo described the initiative as the <strong>Authority\u2019s blueprint<\/strong>. \u201cThe strategic plan will serve as the NLA\u2019s roadmap, thereby guiding participants to achieve their <strong>vision<\/strong>, guide their efforts to maximise funds to support the President\u2019s Agriculture, Road, Rule of Law, Education, Sanitation, and Tourism (ARREST) Agenda for Inclusive Development. This plan will also promote responsible gaming and enhance <strong>integrity operations<\/strong>,\u201d said Solo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added: \u201cThis session is not just about planning for the future but also about transforming the NLA into a more efficient, transparent and <strong>customer-focused institution<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Roadmap for revenue and modernisation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/10\/LIBERIA.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10614\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Leaders and stakeholders gather at the three-day strategic retreat to chart Liberia\u2019s gaming sector transformation for 2025 to 2030.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Serving as facilitator, Technical Consultant Charles Collins Yorke said that the roadmap will align the NLA\u2019s goals with Liberia\u2019s national development agenda, incorporating <strong>smart goals<\/strong> that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound, and key <strong>performance indicators<\/strong> to track progress. He added that the NLA has the authority to seek additional income sources, including generating revenue from gambling institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The five-year initiative outlines major reforms designed to modernise operations, <strong>enhance revenue<\/strong>, promote responsible gaming, deepen <strong>stakeholder engagement<\/strong> and strengthen organisational transformation.
