The discussion focused on <strong>strengthening these ties <\/strong>and addressing any outstanding matters in the partnership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"760\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2025\/10\/GHANA-760x600.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10151\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">NLA Director-General Mohammed Abdul-Salam welcomes Ghana\u2019s High Commissioner to Malta, Kalsoume Sinare, during a visit to discuss collaboration with the MGA. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A NLA press release said: \u201cSinare assured Abdul-Salam of her dedication to continuing the work initiated by her predecessor, particularly in fostering <strong>collaboration<\/strong> between the NLA and MGA. Sinare emphasised that she would advocate for the signing of a <strong>Memorandum of Understanding (MOU<\/strong>), which would enable staff to participate in an exchange program with their counterparts in Malta.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In regards to future plans, the release added: &#8220;Once finalised, the MOU will allow ten NLA staff members to visit MGA annually to observe<strong> best practices<\/strong>.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Enhancing lottery governance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By fostering collaboration with the MGA, the NLA is positioned to improve <strong>regulatory oversight<\/strong>, operational transparency and <strong>staff expertise<\/strong>, which are key factors in promoting responsible gambling and reducing opportunities for illegal lottery operations in Ghana. Malta, home of the MGA, is a<strong> leading hub<\/strong> for regulated <strong>online and land-based gambling<\/strong> in Europe and serves as a model for <strong>best practices <\/strong>in licensing, compliance and player protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abdul-Salam welcomed the ambassadors and commended their efforts in <strong>advancing the NLA\u2019s mission<\/strong>.
