Winner Rwanda pays tribute to victims of the 1994 genocide
The operator’s visit to the memorial underscores Winner Rwanda’s commitment to upholding the ‘Never Again’ vow.
Rwanda.- Gaming and betting company Winner Rwanda has visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial to honour the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
The visit, which was held on May 9, 2025, marked the 31st anniversary of the tragedy. On the day, the team visited various parts of the Kigali Genocide Memorial, learning about its history through briefings.
Following the tour, Winner Rwanda’s management and staff paid their respects by laying wreaths for the victims. The company also provided a donation to aid the memorial’s ongoing work.
In its statement, Winner Rwanda described the memorial as “a place of dignity that preserves the truth of history and educates future generations on how to prevent such a tragedy from ever happening again”.
The visit to the memorial underscores Winner Rwanda’s commitment to upholding the ‘Never Again’ vow by actively working against genocide ideology and promoting peace and unity.
The operator officially launched in Rwanda in October 2023, and has quickly become one of the leading platforms in the jurisdiction. The company prides itself on being an online-only platform, differentiating itself from traditional gaming companies that rely on physical locations.
Last November, Winner Rwanda was named the betting company of the year at the 2024 Karisimbi Service Excellence Awards.
