Uganda’s gambling operators on alert: only two days left to renew NLGRB 2026 licences
Operators must submit all documents via the NLGRB e-licensing platform by October 31 or risk losing 2026 operating rights.
Uganda.- Uganda’s gaming operators have just two days to renew their licences through the National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) e-licensing platform to secure 2026 operating rights and meet regulatory requirements.
The NLGRB stated in an official notice: “The renewal window closes on October 31, 2025, and any applications submitted after this date will not be accepted.” Operators are urged to act promptly to avoid missing the deadline.
According to the notice, all licensed operators must provide the required documentation and ensure their systems meet regulatory standards. The NLGRB reminded all operators that renewal applications must be accompanied by proof of “full compliance with regulatory obligations”.
It added: “This includes submission of audited financial statements, valid tax clearance certificates, certificates of good conduct for directors and NITA-U IT system certification. Operators must also ensure that all gaming systems are integrated with the National Central Electronic Monitoring System (NCEMS) before renewal is approved.”
The NLGRB’s call highlights the regulator’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency, strengthen oversight and maintain a secure and compliant gaming environment across the country. Operators who fail to meet the requirements risk losing their right to operate in 2026, potentially impacting business continuity.
With only two days remaining, licensed operators are under pressure to complete all submissions through the official e-licensing platform, ensuring every document meets the Board’s requirements. The NLGRB reiterated that no late applications will be considered, underscoring the importance of acting immediately.
