Terrou‑Bi Casino set for major 2026 expansion in Senegal
Senegal’s premier resort and casino will nearly double its rooms and enhance guest spaces, positioning Terrou‑Bi as a leading destination for VIP players and high rollers.
Senegal.- Senegal’s Terrou‑Bi Resort and Casino is set to reshape West African gaming with a major 2026 expansion, significantly increasing rooms and upgrading guest spaces to attract VIPs and premium players. The development reinforces the resort’s status as a leading casino destination and underscores its strategic role in the region’s luxury hospitality sector.
The resort will expand from 168 rooms to approximately 265 rooms and suites, including two presidential suites and a selection of high-end ocean-view suites designed for VIP guests and “high rollers”.
While the casino floor has been modernised over the years, the 2026 expansion will upgrade key guest-facing areas around the gaming space, enhancing the overall experience. “We decided to completely renovate the casino. This gave us a boost compared to the competition and the six casinos in Dakar,” said Terrou‑Bi Resort and Casino, according to Journal des Palaces.
This comes as Dakar, the capital city of Senegal, prepares for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games, further positioning Terrou‑Bi Resort and Casino as a key entertainment and hospitality hub for international visitors and high-profile events. The expansion is set to be completed by June 2026, according to Terrou‑Bi
New event wing boosts casino appeal
The revamp also includes a new business and event wing, featuring a 250-seat amphitheatre and modular meeting rooms, expected to bring corporate and VIP guests directly into the casino environment. “This new business-focused block will enable us to renovate the historic hotel. With 265 rooms, this gives us greater flexibility,” said Terrou‑Bi.
With premium accommodation, upgraded guest areas and a modernised casino, Terrou‑Bi is establishing itself as a leading destination for high-stakes players, while its business and event facilities help drive extra traffic to the gaming floor.
Terrou‑Bi’s expansion demonstrates how strategically integrating hotel, event and casino operations can elevate a property into a regional gaming powerhouse.
