Supa Pesa hits big in Malawi with BetYanga record traffic and jackpots
BetYanga’s casino, virtual and sports games drive record engagement and multi-million jackpots across Malawi.
Malawi.- Malawi’s betting company Supa Pesa is celebrating a surge in activity on its new BetYanga platform, which offers casino, virtual and sports games. The operator has reported rising traffic this year, driven by both its digital expansion and a series of headline-making jackpot payouts.
Commercial Director Joshua Kachali said the platform has been attracting “huge traffic under the BetYanga platform, where there are casinos, virtual and sports games”. Features such as rehearsal games using virtual currency help customers practice before wagering real money.
In February, Supa Pesa expanded its reach with the launch of BetYanga Online, allowing customers to place bets through the website as well as via SMS and USSD by dialling 4297#. This innovation was designed to open access to users without smartphones and strengthen the platform’s national footprint.
Supa Pesa said this reflects growing customer confidence and enthusiasm for BetYanga’s diverse betting options. Player engagement has increased steadily since the start of the year.

The results have been striking. In April, four bettors became instant millionaires after scooping football prediction jackpots. Three winners each claimed over K51m (€25,250), while a fourth winner received K9m (€4,450). Most recently, Patricia Chirwa from the city of Mzuzu won K14,544,276 (€7,185) on the Aviator game, a popular casino-style option on the platform.
Supa Pesa has underscored its commitment to responsible gaming. With record payouts and rising engagement in 2025, Supa Pesa says it is cementing its position as a leading force in Malawi’s fast-growing betting industry.
