Sierra Leone bettors offered chance to win $81,000 house in Mercury International campaign
The promotion launched by Mercury International allows players to enter a raffle for a two-bedroom bungalow through qualifying wagers on the Mercury Bet platform.
Sierra Leone.- Sierra Leone bettors have been offered the chance to win a new house through a betting promotion launched by Mercury International. The campaign, launched in Freetown, gives players the opportunity to enter a draw for a two-bedroom bungalow valued at $81,000.
Mercury International CEO Martin Michael said: “This house prize is the most materially transformative reward offered by a gaming company in Sierra Leone.” The promotion started on April 1 and runs up to July 20, with the final draw scheduled for July 21. Entries are earned through qualifying bets placed on the operator’s Mercury Bet platform.
Under the mechanics of the campaign, customers receive raffle entries based on the value and type of bets placed. A SLL50 ($2.25) sports wager qualifies for one raffle ticket, while SLL250 ($11.25) wagered on the operator’s Vegas-style games also generates a ticket for the draw.
Mercury International is one of the largest gaming operators in Sierra Leone, operating sports betting, lottery and gaming services across the country through a network of retail outlets and digital platforms. The company runs the Mercury Bet sports betting brand and maintains a long-standing presence in the country’s gaming sector, with retail betting shops and digital wagering services available nationwide.
Promotions tied to betting activity have become increasingly common across African gaming markets as operators seek to boost player acquisition and retention, with incentives ranging from cash rewards and vehicles to high-value prizes such as property.
