Senegal’s LONASE chairman joins global IAGR panel on gaming regulation
Moustapha Camara will join international regulators and lottery leaders in Lima to examine cooperation on consumer protection, responsible gambling, illegal market risks and public-interest oversight.
Senegal.- Senegal’s National Lottery (LONASE) chairman Moustapha Camara will join a panel at the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) 2026 conference in Lima examining closer cooperation between lottery organisations and gaming regulators on shared challenges, including consumer protection, responsible gambling and illegal market risks.
Camara has been announced as a featured speaker for the session, “Exploring Common Ground: Lotteries, Gaming Regulators, and Public-Interest Oversight,” at the conference, which will take place in Lima, Peru, from October 19 to 22.
Held under the theme “Steady Hands, Shifting Ground: Advancing Regulation in a Connected World,” the conference will bring together gaming regulators, lottery organisations and industry leaders from around the world to discuss issues shaping the global gaming sector.
Announcing Camara’s participation, IAGR said: “Government lottery organisations and gaming regulators often operate under different mandates, but many of today’s challenges cut across those boundaries.”
According to the conference organiser, the session will examine practical opportunities for cooperation on consumer protection, responsible gambling, emerging technologies, illegal market risks, intelligence sharing and public trust.
The official speaker spotlight says the discussion will also cover digital distribution, product innovation, illegal market competition, advertising standards, data use and enforcement partnerships. It says the panel will examine shared risks, differing approaches and practical opportunities for cooperation, while considering how lotteries and regulators can coordinate on consumer protection, intelligence sharing, emerging technologies and enforcement partnerships.
