According to Prof. George Malebe, NWGB chairperson, the Blitz initiative is designed to strengthen the Board’s presence across the gambling sector and ensure operators meet their legal and regulatory obligations.

Acting NWGB CEO Boitumelo Qalinge said he was pleased with the Board’s approach to engaging licensed operators. The regulator said these engagements support its oversight of gambling operations while providing a platform for direct communication with operators on regulatory requirements.

The Board said it will continue using operator engagements to promote compliance, uphold the integrity of the gambling sector and protect the public through proactive regulation.
