South Africa.- The North West Gambling Board (NWGB) has organised a Staff Wellness Day for its employees in Rustenburg. The event was held as part of the Board’s ongoing efforts to support staff health and strengthen working relationships.
Employees from different sections participated in wellness activities, team-building exercises and open discussions outside their normal office routine. These included group games and sessions designed to encourage personal interaction and relaxation. The event allowed participants to connect, share experiences and build stronger bonds with colleagues.
The NWGB explained that the initiative aims to strengthen staff wellbeing and unity, noting that a healthy and cohesive team helps the organisation perform its duties more effectively. \
The regulator stated: “Maintaining a healthy body and mind is fundamental in building a productive, resilient and efficient organisation capable of delivering on its mandate to the people of the province.”
As the provincial regulator for casinos, bingo, betting and other gambling operations in North West Province, the NWGB oversees licensing, compliance and the promotion of responsible gambling. Events like Staff Wellness Day help ensure staff remain focused, motivated and collaborative in carrying out these responsibilities.
