National Gambling Board advertises permanent legal compliance role
The successful candidate will monitor compliance with legislation and internal policies and support the review and implementation of governance policies.
South Africa.- The National Gambling Board has opened applications for a permanent legal compliance practitioner position as it seeks to strengthen its legal and regulatory compliance functions.
The role offers an all-inclusive annual remuneration package ranging from R822,835 (€43,109) to R970,761 (€50,854). Applications close on August 11, 2026 and must be submitted through the NGB’s e-recruitment portal on its official website.
According to the vacancy notice, the successful candidate will oversee contract management, provide legal advice on supply chain management matters, monitor compliance with legislation and internal policies, manage the board’s records management framework, and support the review and implementation of governance policies.
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in law and have at least three years of experience in a compliance, governance or legal environment. The NGB is also seeking candidates with skills in problem-solving, business writing, stakeholder management, negotiation and communication.
The regulator said preference will be given to Coloured male and female, Indian male and female, White female, and persons with disabilities in line with its employment equity objectives.
The appointment is subject to a 12-month probation period, while successful applicants will also undergo background verification, criminal record, citizenship and competency checks as part of the recruitment process.
