Morocco’s gaming ecosystem gains momentum with new showcase page
The launch of MGI’s “Moroccan Video Games” page highlights local developers and strengthens Morocco’s gaming industry as 2025 draws to a close.
Morocco.- Morocco has taken another step in strengthening its video game industry with the launch of “Moroccan Video Games”, a dedicated digital page by the Morocco Gaming Industry (MGI), putting local developers in the spotlight.
The Ministry said in an official statement: “As part of its mission to develop, promote and support the gaming industry in Morocco, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication is proud to announce the launch of a new page dedicated to national video game creations: Moroccan Video Games.”
The page highlights the creativity and skill of young Moroccan developers and studios. Its purpose is “to provide a national platform for visibility for video games created in Morocco”. The initiative also allows developers to join Morocco’s growing gaming community and gain international recognition for “Made in Morocco” titles.
Developers can submit their games via email, and if approved, each title will receive a detailed descriptive page on the site. Submissions must include the game’s name, the developer or studio, the platform, the game engine used, a trailer or YouTube link and the game category.
Morocco’s broader gaming push
The launch is part of a broader 2025 push to strengthen Morocco’s gaming ecosystem, which includes MGI’s Master’s in Game Design and Animation and the nine-month “Video Game Creator” professional course. These programs equip young developers with skills in game design, 3D art, animation, programming and production.
MGI also supports startups through its Video Game Incubation Program, providing mentoring and guidance to help studios refine their projects and prepare for release. Beyond training and incubation, Morocco is developing creative-tech infrastructure, including Rabat Gaming City, to establish the country as a regional hub for digital creativity.
For developers, the showcase page is more than a digital listing, it is a national stage that gives their games exposure to players, investors and industry professionals.
As 2025 draws to a close, the launch of Moroccan Video Games marks an important step in Morocco’s ambition to establish itself as a regional hub for game development.
