Morocco’s esports scene heats up as 2026 qualifiers kick off

Fortnite, Valorant and EA Sports FC 26 competitors battle for national glory ahead of Morocco Gaming Expo 2026 finals in Rabat.

Morocco.- Morocco’s esports scene is surging as the 2026 esports qualifiers kick off, drawing the country’s top gamers into fierce competition for a place in the Morocco Gaming Expo 2026 finals in May. The event represents a significant opportunity for Moroccan players to gain national recognition and compete on one of the Kingdom’s largest gaming stages.

The first stage of the qualifiers took place from February 14-20, featuring online competitions in Fortnite, Valorant and EA Sports FC 26. Winners from these rounds will progress through March and April qualifiers, culminating in a play-in stage in early May. The top competitors will then battle live in Rabat.

Organisers said: “Finalists and winning players will have the opportunity to compete in Morocco’s largest arena, hosted within the Morocco Gaming Expo, at the Sofitel – Jardin des Roses in Rabat, from May 20 to 24, 2026.”

The qualifiers highlight Morocco’s strongest esports talent across Fortnite’s fast-paced battles, Valorant’s tactical team play and EA Sports FC 26’s football simulation. The Expo finals will give these emerging stars visibility and competitive experience, reinforcing Morocco’s growing presence in North African esports.

With structured qualifiers and a high-profile live final, the event is establishing Morocco as a hub for esports in the region, offering players both recognition and the chance to perform on one of the Kingdom’s largest gaming stages.
