Sierra Leone.- Mercury International betting operator has delivered a record early-2026 payout, distributing more than LE20m (€1,000) to 30,000+ football winners nationwide.

A total of LE14m (€700) was paid through retail outlets, while LE6m (€300) went to online winners – emphasising the continued strength of physical betting shops alongside a growing digital presence.

The payout, which took place on March 1, highlights the scale of football betting activity across Sierra Leone and reinforces Mercury International’s position as a dominant operator in the market.

With more than 30,000 winning tickets processed in a single cycle, the event reflects broad engagement in football betting. “Your win will come too,” said a winner, Charles Obi, according to SwitSalone.
