Women-led startup projects receive seed funding through the lottery operator’s entrepreneurship initiative.

Mauritius.- Mauritius’ National Lottery operator Lottotech has recognised a new group of women entrepreneurs through its LottotechSeeds initiative, awarding seed funding to four projects during the programme’s sixth edition award ceremony Mauritius.

Organisers said: “The programme remains committed to fostering entrepreneurship, supporting women-led initiatives and creating opportunities that empower future generations of entrepreneurs.”

The funding awarded through the programme is intended to support the early development of these ventures, helping entrepreneurs refine their business ideas, launch products and expand their operations.

The top prize of Rs100,000 (€2,000) was awarded to Valerie Bolaram-Chetty for her project Nutrire, which was recognised as the leading initiative. Three additional entrepreneurs were also honoured during the ceremony.
