Premier Bet Malawi’s sponsorship strengthens logistics and operations for the Africa Netball Cup, highlighting its commitment to sports development and community engagement.
Malawi.- In a major boost for Malawian netball, Premier Bet Malawi has pledged MWK10m (€4,950) to the Netball Association of Malawi (NAM), fuelling preparations for the 2025 Africa Netball Cup. The tournament is set to take place from December 8-14 at the Griffin Saenda Sports Complex in Lilongwe, drawing 11 countries to the heart of Malawi.
At the sponsorship hand-over, Premier Bet’s Community Manager, Hamza Mgaye, made the company’s vision clear. “Our support for this championship is not just about the event but about developing the game and giving our players and fans a platform to shine on the continental stage,” he said.
The investment comes at a critical moment as Malawi ramps up efforts to host a seamless, world-class competition. NAM President Vitumbiko Gubuduza said: “Hosting the Africa Netball Cup requires significant resources and this donation will help us ensure that the tournament meets international standards.”
Gubuduza called on the private sector to step up and support the growth of netball across the country. “We are appealing to other corporate entities to emulate Premier Bet’s example and support the event.”
The contribution will cover logistical and operational costs, helping NAM deliver a professional tournament experience for players and fans alike. For Premier Bet, the sponsorship underscores its commitment to sports development and community engagement in Africa, cementing its reputation not just as a betting powerhouse but also as a partner in growing local talent.
With teams from nearly 11 African nations set to compete, the 2025 Africa Netball Cup promises high-stakes action, skillful play and a showcase of the continent’s best netball talent, all powered by Premier Bet’s timely investment.
