The LSLGA will leverage TVC Communications’ extensive multimedia network and broad reach to promote responsible gaming initiatives.

Nigeria.- The Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA) and TVC Communications have joined forces to transform the gaming landscape in Lagos State.

The partnership, sealed with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), underscores their shared commitment to promoting responsible, transparent and lawful gaming practices.

The collaboration will see the two entities partner on several initiatives to raise awareness about the risks of excessive gaming and promote responsible gambling practices across the state, including launching a new gameshow.

They will prioritise efforts such as advocacy against underage gaming and promotion of responsible, intelligent and enjoyable gaming experiences.

The LSLGA will leverage TVC Communications’ extensive multimedia network and broad reach to promote these initiatives.

The LSLGA is the most influential state gaming regulator in Nigeria. It oversees all lottery and gaming activities in Lagos State, exercising powers granted by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority Law, 2021.

Bashir Are, LSLGA CEO, emphasised that this partnership demonstrates the board’s dedication to promoting education and entertainment in the state.

He said: “We sponsor STEM education quizzes and also sponsor e-sports, and we are into sports. This new program that is coming on board at TVC is also an educational program that can stimulate brains, bring entertainment and also offer some kind of incentives to participants, and that is the reason we are sponsoring the program.”

Morayo Afolabi-Brown, TVC Entertainment’s managing director, believes the agreement will take gaming in Nigeria to new levels.

She said: “The idea is really to have a game show that talks with Nigerians, engages and gets them to win a lot of money. And since the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority is very interested in how to engage gaming in the right way, TVC Communications wants to be part of that drive to teach Nigerians on how to game legally, rightly and be more credible on how we give them their winnings.”
