KwanzaBet accelerates Angola expansion with new retail betting outlets

Angola’s homegrown betting giant stakes its claim across the south with a bold push into regional cities.

Angola.- Angolan betting operator KwanzaBet has opened new retail betting shops in the cities of Sumbe and Porto-Amboim, extending its footprint beyond the capital as it builds out its presence in southern markets.

The openings add to existing outlets in Benguela and Lubango, signalling a steady provincial rollout strategy. The company operates a hybrid model, combining physical betting agencies with its online platform, allowing customers to place wagers in-store or digitally.

KwanzaBet said: “On February 7, 2026, we officially inaugurated our new agencies in Sumbe and Porto Amboim, further consolidating KwanzaBet’s presence in the southern region.” The operator has indicated that further openings are planned, pointing to a continued push to strengthen brand visibility and widen access to regulated betting services across the country.

Addressing its positioning in the market, KwanzaBet added: “The KwanzaBet brand is 100 per cent Angolan, created by Angolans, for Angolans, and continues to grow based on innovation, responsibility and development of the country.”

The expansion comes as Angola’s regulated betting sector continues to evolve, with land-based outlets complementing digital platforms in reaching customers beyond major urban centres. With additional agencies expected later this year, KwanzaBet is steadily reinforcing its status as one of the country’s prominent domestic betting brands.
