JJ BallX ignites Africa with Guinness World Record football attempt
BetKing teams up with Jay Jay Okocha to blend street football energy with crash gambling in landmark launch.

Unveiling the initiative at a media briefing in Lagos, BetKing said the event is part of the official launch of JJ BallX, its new crash game inspired by the vibrant energy of Nigerian street football.
“JJ BallX pays homage to the everyday footballer by combining nostalgic visuals, fast paced gameplay and the cultural flair of the streets. The game’s central character is modelled after Jay Jay Okocha, reflecting his flair and legendary skills,” said BetKing in a statement.

Beyond breaking a record, this event is about doing something remarkable together,” said BetKing. “This is not just about breaking a record. It’s about making history together and celebrating unity through sport. Participants won’t just be spectators. Their presence on the field will count toward setting a new Guinness World Record.”
To drum up excitement ahead of launch day, BetKing ran a N5 million ($3,300) promotional giveaway between May 6 and June 6. Some 50 lucky players who wagered at least N5,000 ($3.30) on JJ BallX walked away with N100,000 ($66) each in cashback rewards.
This weekend’s record attempt is free to attend but BetKing warns that spaces are rare so arriving early is key to securing a place on the pitch. Beyond football the day promises live music, giveaways and enough high energy entertainment to keep everyone buzzing long after the final whistle.
“Each participant will receive a jersey and a football signed by Jay Jay Okocha himself. It’s more than a gaming experience. It’s a celebration of Nigerian spirit, culture, and talent,” BetKing added.
