Gabon’s PMUG honours loyal bettors at special event

PMUG has awarded cars, vouchers worth FCFA 6m (€9,160), and park stays to thank customers and build trust in its regulated operations.

Gabon.- Gabonese Urban Mutual Betting (PMUG), the nation’s official betting operator, formally honoured loyal bettors with record jackpots and major prizes as it continues to strengthen the country’s regulated betting sector.

PMUG hosted its ‘Soirée Mille Mercis’ (Evening of a Thousand Thanks), bringing together bettors and community members for a structured evening of recognition and reward. The ceremony was designed to celebrate participants in PMUG’s betting programmes and reinforce the relationship of trust with its customer base.

Prizes awarded at the event included a car, three shopping vouchers totalling FCFA6m (€9,160), and five stays at Lopé National Park.

PMUG oversees key betting products

PMUG manages Gabon’s regulated sports bettinghorse-race wagering and pari-mutuel betting via outlets and its online platform.

The event follows promotions linked to the Prix d’Amérique race on January 25, where the Quinté+ pool offered FCFA2bn (€3.05m) in prizes. Late 2025 saw an FCFA310m (€474,000) jackpot win through PMUG’s pari-mutuel products.

PMUG representatives said that such events form part of a broader strategy to consolidate player trust, encourage responsible participation, and reinforce the operator’s role within Gabon’s betting ecosystem.
