Enugu Gaming Conference 2026 set to highlight AML, KYC and payment technology

Nigeria’s upcoming gaming conference is placing fintech and secure digital transactions at the centre of Africa’s evolving industry discussions.

Nigeria.- Enugu State Gaming Commission has intensified its focus on payment infrastructure ahead of Enugu Gaming Conference (EGC 2026), calling on fintech and payment solution providers to participate in the event as digital transactions become increasingly central to Africa’s igaming sector.

The regulator said payment systems were “no longer just support systems – they are critical growth drivers” within the gaming industry. The commission highlighted areas including deposits and withdrawals, Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, fraud prevention, wallet integrations and cross-border transactions as technologies shaping the future of gaming across Africa.

The commission said: “As Africa’s gaming industry becomes more digital, the companies powering trusted financial transactions will become some of the most important players in the ecosystem.”

EGC 2026 organisers recently announced that the conference, set to take place in Enugu, Nigeria, on July 29-30, will bring together gaming operators, regulators, fintech leaders, investors, tech innovators and other industry stakeholders to discuss gaming regulation, innovation and investment opportunities across the country’s rapidly expanding igaming sector.

According to the regulator, payment providers attending EGC 2026 will be able to showcase infrastructure, connect directly with gaming operators, explore partnerships and integrations, and participate in discussions around secure and compliant gaming transactions across Nigeria’s expanding gaming market.
