Egypt’s Esports Summit secures global partners and major sporting backing

Cairo’s Summit set to draw 10,000 visitors and millions online with high-stakes tournaments and exclusive partnerships.

Egypt.- Egypt’s Esports Summit (ESS) 2025 has secured support from prominent global brands and major sporting institutions, solidifying its position as one of the region’s most influential esports events.

Cairo will host the fifth edition of the Summit on October 9 to 10, with organisers expecting more than 10,000 attendees on site and millions more online as the event solidifies its status as a regional esports powerhouse.

ESS has landed major partnerships that underline its growing influence. Samsung Electronics Egypt, a decade-long partner of organiser FWZ, will be the exclusive mobile partner for EA Sports FC Mobile (EAFC), the latest football video game series from Electronic Arts, and will host Egypt’s first official tournament. Streaming platform Watch It joins as the exclusive broadcast partner, while Red Bull will energise the event with its Red Bull Home Ground National Finals.

Ahmed Abdellatif, Chief Executive of FWZ, said according to Egyptian Streets: “The scale of these partnerships reflects the recognition of global companies and major sports institutions in Egypt of the Summit and its ability to bring together the esports community.”

Bridging sport and esports

The Egyptian Football Association and the Egyptian Esports Federation are also backing the event, reinforcing the summit’s growing role in bridging traditional sport and competitive gaming.

Alongside high-stakes tournaments, ESS 2025 promises live matches, community activities and “surprises” designed to immerse fans in the fast-evolving world of esports.

Organisers project more than “20 million impressions across online streaming and event-related content”. The event continues to build its influence, following past editions that have attracted more than 15,000 attendees and millions of viewers worldwide.

With the support of international corporations and national sporting bodies, Cairo is positioning itself as a future hub for esports in North Africa, a city where competitive gaming, mainstream sport and global entertainment converge.
