Rwanda.- A cyclist from Masaka sector in Kicukiro District has become the winner of the largest lottery jackpot in Rwandan history.
Simeon Mukeshimana matched all five winning numbers of the Impamo Jackpot, including 15, 25, 20, 05, and 22, to clinch the historic prize of 60 million Rwandan Francs (€35,407).
Aside from Mukeshima’s hefty win, over 600 players also received prizes ranging from Rwf2,500 (€1.48) to Rwf500,000, (€295), making it a standout draw.
Kalisa Chris Dylain, head of online business at Inzozi Lotto, said: “This is exactly the kind of impact we envisioned when launching Impamo Jackpot, turning dreams into reality.”
Impamo Jackpot is one of the diverse range of lottery games offered by Inzozi Lotto, the country’s National Lottery. Other titles in the operator’s portfolio include Igitego Lotto, Shuwa Dilu, Quick Lotto and Quick 10.
However, what distinguishes Impamo Jackpot from other games is its guaranteed payout. If no one matches all five numbers, a ticket holder will be randomly selected to claim the prize. The more entries a player has, the higher their chances of being selected as the winner.
Owned by Carousel Ltd, Inzozi Lotto operates in partnership with the Government of Rwanda through the Ministry of Sports and is regulated by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB). Tax revenue from lottery activities goes towards funding important national development projects.
