Burundi National Lottery deepens gaming regulatory cooperation with Guinea
LONA’s knowledge-exchange visit to Guinea focused on gaming regulation, operator supervision, digitalisation, responsible gaming and player protection.
Guinea.- Burundi’s National Lottery (LONA) has completed a knowledge-exchange visit to Guinea’s Gaming Regulation and Supervision Authority (ARSJPA), with discussions focused on gaming regulation, operator supervision, digitalisation, control mechanisms, responsible gaming and player protection.
ARSJPA described the August visit in Conakry as an “institutional immersion mission” in an official LinkedIn post confirming the arrival of the LONA delegation. The regulator later announced the conclusion of the visit after several days of exchanges, experience-sharing and technical work.
ARSJPA said: “As part of the strengthening of cooperation and the sharing of experiences between regulatory institutions, the ARSJPA welcomed a delegation from the LONA for an institutional immersion mission in Conakry.”
ARSJPA said the mission included “the regulation of gaming, the supervision of operators, digitalisation, control mechanisms, the promotion of responsible gaming and the protection of players.”
At the close of the visit, the regulator said the two institutions had deepened their exchanges and strengthened cooperation, with the engagement supporting greater regional expertise and more effective approaches to gaming regulation.
ARSJPA said the two sides expressed a commitment to continue their institutional cooperation. “At the end of this mission, ARSJPA and LONA welcomed the quality of the exchanges and reaffirmed their desire to continue and strengthen this dynamic of institutional cooperation and sharing of expertise,” ARSJPA said.
The regulator described the meeting as “a new stage in the rapprochement between the two institutions”. ARSJPA added: “Through this initiative, the ARSJPA reaffirms its desire to promote the exchange of expertise and strengthen regional cooperation for a more modern, effective and responsible regulation of the gaming sector.”
