“Regulatory leadership is an essential pillar of socio-economic sustainability,” the Authority said in a statement, highlighting its commitment to Motshameko O Phepa (Responsible Gambling). The Authority said its frameworks extend beyond compliance, with a focus on safeguarding players and supporting local communities.

Botswana Sustainability Week 2026 took place from October 21–23 at Sedia Hotel in Maun under the theme “The Business of Sustainability: Activating Private Sector Leadership to Drive Botswana’s Next Growth Economy”.
According to the Authority, the second day focused on practical frameworks for national growth, including project challenges, strategic benefits, resource allocation and proposed support mechanisms across industries. The Authority invited delegates to visit its exhibition stand to explore its initiatives and discuss how responsible oversight could contribute to sustainable value creation.
