Betway introduces rewards program in Botswana
Players earn points with every wager and can track their balance in the Rewards tab on the Betway app. These points can be instantly converted into withdrawable cash.
Botswana.- Betway Botswana has launched its Betway Rewards loyalty program, allowing players to earn points on sports and casino bets, then convert them to cash instantly, with no delays or restrictions. The initiative, unveiled on September 19, 2025, extends Betway’s efforts in Southern Africa, following similar programs in Zambia and Ghana.
To commemorate the launch, Betway hosted a party in Gaborone for influencers, creators and journalists. Attendees wore Betway jerseys and participated in a 30-second trivia game on Botswana history and local artists. Winning teams received P250 (€15.98) credited to their accounts immediately.
The event included representatives from the Botswana Gambling Authority, including CEO Emolemo Peter Kesitilwe, who said during an interview: “We’re here to celebrate what makes Botswana special, from our stories to our sounds, while giving back in ways that feel immediate and fair.”
With the initiative, Betway aims to increase its user engagement and loyalty in Botswana’s competitive betting market, home to a number of operators, including Sunbet, Pstbet, 22Bet, PariPesa and MelBet.
This development comes days after Betway Africa unveiled SkyControl, the world’s first player-versus-player (PvP) crash game with multiplayer features, in Tanzania, Ghana, Nigeria, Malawi, Zambia and Botswana.
