betPawa launches Nigeria’s high stakes 1v1 football showdown
Street footballers across Nigeria compete for ₦28 million (€17,080) in prizes, as the Top 32 advance to a live knockout finale and showcase their skills on a national stage.
Nigeria.- betPawa Nigeria has unveiled a high-stakes platform for the country’s street football talent. The betPawa1v1 Football Challenge 2026 aims to discover the nation’s top one-on-one footballer, a head-to-head format where players compete directly against another participant, with a total prize pool of ₦28m (€17,080), including ₦10m (€6,100) for the overall champion.
betPawa said: “Football is deeply rooted in Nigerian youth culture. betPawa1v1 is about giving everyday ballers the spotlight and backing talent with real rewards.”
Football content creator Mobike will host the event, while Nigerian music star Tekno adds a strong cultural presence. To enter, players nationwide are invited to share short videos on TikTok or Instagram, tagging @betpawanigeria and @betpawa1v1, and using the hashtag #betPawa1v1.
The competition is now open, with the Top 32 participants advancing to a live knockout event. Weekly standout entries will be featured throughout the campaign. The tournament is structured to ensure every match is fair and properly managed.
