BetMakers launches RaceBook+ with SportyBet in South Africa

The integration brings horse racing fixed-odds and tote betting into SportyBet’s existing sportsbook without requiring separate apps or wallet transfers.

South Africa.- BetMakers Technology Group has partnered with SportyBet to launch RaceBook+, a new horse racing platform in South Africa. The integration brings horse racing fixed-odds and tote betting into SportyBet’s existing sportsbook without requiring separate apps or wallet transfers.

RaceBook+ centralises global horse racing markets into SportyBet’s interface, giving users access to real-time odds, form analysis and live pricing from hundreds of racetracks worldwide through their existing sports betting account. The platform supports scalable mutual betting solutions, including flexible pool types and digital-ready features that enable effortless betting across digital and retail channels.

With the launch, BetMakers is expanding into South Africa’s growing digital wagering market, where SportyBet operates as a licensed operator under the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator.

Lucas Hopkins, Head of Commercial at BetMakers, said: “Our embedded solution allows operators to access premium racing content without disrupting their core sportsbook experience, providing punters with the best of both worlds.”

The development marks a milestone in SportyBet’s goal of delivering localised, scalable racing experiences across Africa, potentially uniting traditional tote betting with modern sportsbook functionality to boost industry turnover.

Scott Ferguson, SportyBet’s Senior Product Manager, added: “RaceBook+ gives our customers access to world-class racing data and betting options while preserving the fast, intuitive interface that SportyBet users know and trust.”
