Uganda.- Betika has pledged Shs 10 million (€2,401) in sponsorship for the Kampala Hash House Harriers (KH3) Hash Bash 2025, set to kick off on November 29 at Silver Springs Hotel in Bugolobi.
As part of the sponsorship package, Betika will provide branded jerseys for all participants, support event logistics and participate in the annual gala. The betting operator stated that this gesture underscores its commitment to promoting health and community development in Kampala.
Desire Akanduhura, Marketing Lead at Betika Uganda, said: “Hash Bash represents the spirit of Kampala: movement, energy and togetherness. We are proud to support an event that encourages people to get outdoors, build friendships and embrace healthier lifestyles. Our goal is to be present where Kampala moves and connects, not just where it bets. We believe that promoting fitness and community engagement is essential for a vibrant city.”
Annually organised by KH3, Hash Bash promotes fitness, socialisation and community building in Kampala through various activities, including trail runs, jogging, parties and other social gatherings.
Wilson George Asiimwe, Hash Master of KH3, added: “Hash Bash is all about fun, fitness and community. Betika’s support helps elevate this year’s event and ensures more runners can enjoy the experience. We look forward to welcoming everyone at Silver Springs on the 29th.”
