African iGaming Alliance announces SmartSoft as Gold Supplier member

SmartSoft has joined the African iGaming Alliance (AiA) as a Gold Supplier Member to collaborate on responsible gaming initiatives, sustainable regulation, and market access across the continent.

The African iGaming Alliance (AiA) has announced that SmartSoft has joined AiA as a Gold Supplier Member, marking a new strategic partnership focused on supporting the continued development of sustainable, responsible and commercially viable regulated gambling markets across Africa.

SmartSoft is a B2B igaming software and games provider based in Georgia, founded in 2015. The company has an established and growing presence across African markets and is best known for its flagship title, JetX – the first-ever flying crash game and one of the most recognised games in the crash category.

Through its Gold Supplier Membership, SmartSoft will participate in selected AiA industry engagements, regulatory discussions, policy consultations, research initiatives and strategic roundtables.

According to the AiA, the partnership will create opportunities for collaboration on key industry matters including B2B licensing, market access, responsible gaming, sustainable regulation, taxation, channelisation and illegal gambling.

The partnership reflects AiA’s broader objective of bringing operators, suppliers and other industry stakeholders into constructive dialogue with regulators and governments as African gambling markets continue to develop.

Peter Emolemo Kesitilwe, CEO of the AiA, said: “We are delighted to welcome SmartSoft as a Gold Supplier Member of AiA. Suppliers are an important part of Africa’s gambling ecosystem, and their experience and technical expertise need to form part of the wider conversation about how our markets develop. SmartSoft already has significant exposure to African markets, and we look forward to working with their team on issues ranging from B2B licensing and market access to responsible gaming, channelisation and sustainable regulation. Our aim is to create an environment in which regulators, operators and suppliers can engage constructively on the opportunities and challenges facing the industry across the continent.”

Guram Gotsadze, chief executive officer of SmartSoft, said: “Africa is a key growth market within SmartSoft’s international strategy, and joining the African iGaming Alliance represents an important step in strengthening our long-term commitment to the continent. We believe that sustainable growth depends on close collaboration between regulators, operators, suppliers and industry associations. Through our partnership with AiA, we look forward to contributing our experience as a B2B technology provider to discussions around responsible gaming, effective regulation, B2B licensing and the development of well-regulated markets across Africa. We are pleased to join AiA as a Gold Supplier Member and look forward to working together to support an innovative, responsible and sustainable future for Africa’s igaming industry.”

Through the partnership, SmartSoft will contribute its practical technology and market expertise where appropriate to AiA’s regulatory and policy engagements, Supplier Advisory Forum, strategic roundtables, research and responsible gaming initiatives. Both organisations see the partnership as an opportunity to bring practical industry and technology expertise into regulatory and policy discussions while supporting high standards of responsible and sustainable gambling across African markets.
