22BET, QTech Games among big winners at SBWA+ Summit awards

Ghana.- The Sports Betting West Africa+ (SBWA+) Summit has concluded its 10th annual edition in Accra, Ghana, gathering key industry stakeholders and thought leaders from across the West African region.
Held from August 27 to 29 at the Labadi Beach Hotel, the summit featured in-depth discussions and expert panels on regulatory frameworks, tech innovation and responsible gaming practices.
Sessions such as “Navigating the Regulatory Maze,” “Tech Revolution,” and “Responsible Gambling” provided insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the industry. Experts also explored the role of emerging tools like artificial intelligence, blockchain and advanced cybersecurity in reshaping gaming operations while ensuring player protection.
On August 28, day two of the summit, Eventus Awards organised an award ceremony to recognise excellence and advancements in the West African iGaming and sports betting sector. Notable winners include QTech Games, which won the “best innovation” award for its QTech Hybrid solution, Skilrock Technologies as the supplier of the year, and 22BET as the operator of the year.
Kiron Interactive was recognised as the leader in virtual sports, while BetConstruct earned the title of the leader in sports betting. In online casino category, DSTGaming won the first position, while ComplyGuard took the lead in responsible gaming.
Individual award winners include Kelvin Wilson, who received accolades as the industry influencer of the year. Edward O attained the outstanding consultant award, while Gifty-Rita Amoah and Nengi Akinola were named the innovation queen of West Africa and the most outstanding speaker, respectively. Lastly, Irina Naumova received recognition as West Africa’s rising star in leadership.
