Accel Entertainment acquires Rice Palace Truck Stop Casino in Louisiana
The company’s subsidiary, Toucan Gaming, has acquired the assets of Rice Palace and South Louisiana Gaming.
US.- Accel Entertainment has announced that its subsidiary, Toucan Gaming, has acquired the assets of Rice Palace and South Louisiana Gaming, the owner and operator of Rice Palace Truck Stop Casino in Crowley, Louisiana. The deal adds 50 video gaming devices (VGDs) to Toucan’s Louisiana route operations. Toucan and Accel plan to scale the location’s capacity to 60 VGDs.
Financial details of the operation were not disclosed.

Stan Guidroz, chief executive officer of Toucan Gaming, added: “With this agreement, Toucan is strengthening its scale and route footprint in our home state of Louisiana. Combined with our existing operations, this acquisition supports our strategy of disciplined expansion focused on great entertainment, operational excellence, technology deployment, and new location development.”
In May, Accel announced the election of six directors to its board, including Bruce D. Wardinski as a new independent director. He will serve on the board’s Compensation Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Accel Entertainment reported Q1 revenue of $352m, an increase of 9 per cent year-over-year. Net income was flat at $15m while adjusted EBITDA increased 9 per cent to $54m.
