888 appoints Flutter exec as chief strategy officer

Vaughan Lewis will join the group in early 2021.

Gibraltar.- 888 Holdings has added to its senior leadership team, appointing Vaughan Lewis to the new role of chief strategy officer.

Lewis is currently at Flutter Entertainment where he has served as transformation lead for international business after its acquisition of The Stars Group in May.

He will take up responsibility for developing 888’s long-term strategy, including M&A, and will manage investor relations alongside the company CFO.

Prior to joining Flutter, Vaughan served as senior vice president of Communications at The Stars Group and director of corporate development at Sky Betting & Gaming.

He said: “888 Holdings is a company I have long admired, since my time as an equity analyst.

“888’s unmatched scalable technology, coupled with its strong brand and marketing expertise have supported its growth to become an industry leader, and provide a powerful platform that underpins the Group’s significant continued growth potential.

In September, 888 Holdings appointed Lord Madelsohn as chairman of the group. The group has emerged as a potential buyer for William Hill’s European business.
