Tigre De Cristal ready for second phase

The operator announced that it’s ready for the second phase of the project.

Russia.- G1 Entertainment announced that they’re ready to start the second phase of Tigre De Cristal, which is estimated in US$500 million. The casino located in Russia’s Primorsky Krai region generated more than US$8 million in taxes in its first year of operation.

According to GGRAsia, the Executive Director for G1 Entertainment Craig Ballantyne said that the 1 million sq ft second phase is set to open in 2018 and will offer a four star hotel with more than 300 rooms and a 200 room five star counterpart.

Ballantyne said that the second phase will also feature 500 additional slots and 100 VIP gaming tables and that they could generate more than 2000 new jobs. Tigre de Cristal is a joint project installed by Malaysian company NagaCorp Ltd., Royal Time Primorye and Diamond Fortune Holdings Prim in the tourist zone of Primorye. The Russian city is one of the several exclusive gambling centres authorised by the national government.

International operators expressed their interest in developing the city with the construction of four 5-star, seven 4-star and four 3-star hotels. Furthermore, Primorye would allow the operation of 12 guest villas, a yacht club, a multi-functional trade and exhibition centre, several movie theatres, a beach promenade and other tourist facilities.

However, Tigre de Cristal still remains as the first tourist attraction of the gambling city. During its first year of operations, the casino was visited by more than 1,000 people daily, and 30 percent of tourists come from China and South Korea. Tigre de Cristal also accommodated over 100 guests and participants in the Eastern Economic Forum who highly appreciated the level of services provided by the hotel and restaurants.
