Delta Corp announced second quarter growth

The Indian gaming operator Delta Corp reported a 8-fold jump in net profit.

India.- Local media reports that the Indian company Delta Corp has announced the financial results for the second quarter ending September 30, 2016, showing a 8-fold jump in consolidated net profit.

The company’s net profit after taxes and minority interests also show a 680 percent growth year on year to US$4.8 million, compared to the US$61.000 reported for the same quarter in 2015. Delta Corp is one of the most important companies in the Goa casino market, one of the three Indian states that allows casino gambling.

Delta Corp currently operates three floating casinos, the Deltin Royale and Deltin Jack in Goa, and Deltin Caravela. Earlier this year the company announced the expansion of its Deltin Daman casino, and said they’re installing a new gaming facility in its integrated resort, with 1000 to 1500 gaming positions in 60.000 square feet venue.

The Indian gaming operator also adventured in online gaming, after paying more than US$7 million back in August to acquire 26 percent of shares of the company that operates India’s largest poker site adda52.com, Gauss Networks Pvt. Ltd.
