Station Casinos implement enhanced sports betting options

After 2015’s success in the renovated sports book area at the Red Rock Resort, the company seeks to replicate this revamping in other properties.

US.- Back in In 2015, Station Casinos decided to revamp and enhance the sports book area of its casino Red Rock Resort, adding LED displays with ultra-high-definition to the video wall of the gaming facility. The renovation was finished in time for the college and NFL football seasons and the players’ positive response to the additions  have led the company to explore the possibility of renovating sports books at five other properties.

Art Manteris, Vice President of Race and Sports for Station Casinos, expressed that the players’ reaction to the additions at Red Rock, regarding the video screens, made the decision to replicate the renovation in other venues both easier and faster. Mark Falcone, the Chief Financial Officer for Station Casinos, has not unveiled costs yet, but it was reported that it would amount to a portion between US$100 million to US$125 million that will be spent in Las Vegas properties this year.

Last year, Red Rock installed three LED video displays each 17 feet tall and 31.5 feet wide in size. Santa Fe Station and Green Valley Ranch will have similar video screens installed. Later this year, the Green Valley Ranch Resort, Palace Station, Boulder Station, Santa Fe Station and Sunset Station all will have enhanced video capabilities in-house with new television monitors and individual seats located around the book with improved displays to show the betting lines. The renovations planned for Boulder Station, Sunset Station and Palace Station, will include manual wall boards being replaced with new electronic options. To conclude, August Boulder Station will add the new video walls and electronic odds display system in time for the NCAA basketball tournament, whilst Green Valley will have installations completed after the tournament series.
