Imperial Pacific reports January results

The Saipan temporary casino collected billions last month.

Saipan.- Imperial Pacific announced that its temporary casino in Saipan collected US$5.6 billion in VIP table games during January. The company announced the results during a filling to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

In 2016, the casino totaled US$32.4 billion in VIP table games revenue. The company is currently building in Saipan the Imperial Pacific Resort & Hotel, which is set to start a soft opening process during the first quarter of this year. Last month, officials confirmed that they would be postponing the opening to the end of March, but they hoped to open the doors of its permanent casino resort by the Chinese New Year.

The new gambling facility casino would feature around 200 to 300 gaming tables and 300 to 400 slot machines. The 350-suite resort is being designed by Steelman Partners LLP, which has been involved in the design of several large casinos in Asia and elsewhere. Imperial Pacific insists that the construction of the hotel is still on time to make sure that they will complete the process.
