Poland lottery monopoly seeks partner

The Polish company is looking for a firm interested in assisting the launch and operations of the new online business.

Poland.- Totalizator Sportowy, Poland’s lottery monopoly operator, has revealed that it’s looking for firms interested in assisting the operations and the launch of the new online casino monopoly business.

eKasyno, the new product of the monopoly operator, is looking for help to launch its online casino, bingo and poker services. The permission to launch operations was granted last year after legislators approved the amended Polish Gambling Act, CalvinAyre reported. Companies that want to become Totalizator Sportowy’s partner have time to submit their bids until September 26. The people in charge of looking into the bidders will start the process the same day.

Every bidder needs to deposit US$282k and prove that they have enough experience with similar online services for at least three companies in recent years. Moreover, they need to prove the they can general annual turnover of more than US$5 million.

Earlier this year, Poland announced further regulations in the online market in order to prevent illegal transactions. According to the Association of Employers and Employees of Bookmakers, the Treasury suffers big losses that reach US$1.4 billion every year in potential tax revenue because of the illegal activities.
