New Zealand revealed FOB partnership

Paddy Power Betfair and OpenBet are the new partners of the New Zealand Racing Board to develop the FOB business.

New Zealand.- The New Zealand Racing Board (NZRB) announced that the sports betting companies Paddy Power Betfair and OpenBet have been selected as the new partners in order to expand FOB (fixed odds betting) services in the country.

The New Zealand Racing Board is set to use OpenBet’s software to create new platform of FOB, which will be then operated by Paddy Power Betfair. Glenda Hughes, New Zealand Racing Board Chair, said: “The new FOB offering will complement our already competitive Tote, putting NZRB in a much stronger position to manage turnover across both products, taking into account customer and channel preferences.” It is expected that the new platform will be functional by the first months of the start of the upcoming New Zealand racing season.

“We are focused on working with NZRB to develop a best-in-class technology that delivers a great player experience. We are honoured to be selected from what was a highly competitive tender process and excited for the project ahead of us,” said Matt Davey, CEO of NYX Gaming, the owner of OpenBet.

Moreover, a representative from Paddy Power Betfair said that the company is confident that the partnership will deliver long-term value for each of the racing codes and sporting bodies across New Zealand through the leveraging of their world class product and systems.
