Millennium to develop casino in the Philippines

The local gaming regulator granted Millennium a previsionary license to develop a US$300 million IR.

Philippines.- Millennium Pan-Asia Hotel and Resort Inc and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (Pagcor) signed an agreement that gives the company a provisional license to develop a US$300 million integrated resort in Mandaue, Cebu.

The company that signed its license on August is set to build a modern integrated entertainment hub, driven by a world class casino, as Philippine Times reported. Moreover, it will include contemporary entertainment and leisure facilities like shopping areas, restaurants, cinemas, theaters and hotels. During the third quarter of 2020 a contemporary lifestyle district will open at the center of Cebu, the news outlet confirmed.

Furthermore, the project will generate approximately 4000 jobs, and will boost the tourism and economy in the territory. The casino would also include features of cultural heritage in order to “give back” to the community. Chief Executive Officer of Millennium, Justin Xiao, said that he’s confident that the project will be a world class entertainment center and most popular place in Cebu.
