Malta suspended GLX Services license

The Malta Gaming Authority decided to suspend GLX Services Ltd’s gaming license.

Malta.- The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) announced that it had suspended GLX Services Ltd.’s gaming license.

The regulator did not provide an official explanation about the reasons that led to this decision, but apparently it may be due to a connection between GLX Services Ltd. and www.betmod90.com. The MGA said that all references about the two websites were “false and misleading.” The regulator added that it is “not to compromise any investigations that may need to be performed.”

Another clarification the MGA made was that all websites who were operating under these licenses: MGA/CL2/432/2007, were immediately suspended and had all gaming operations and registration for new players to sign up stopped immediately. One of the licenses was previously registered to Yosware Limited which was linked to several domain names which apparently were targeted directly towards the Italian market.

There was bust last summer made on illegal gambling operations in Italy, which led the MGA to suspend several licenses. It is possible the sites in question had connections with the recent shutdowns of the illegal gambling sites in the Italian market.
