Juegos Miami: “Let’s make history”

Kate Chambers, managing director of the gaming division at Clarion Events, shares her insights about the upcoming event.

US.- Juegos Miami is only five days away and the complete gaming industry is delighted by the event that promises to change the rules in the attractive Pan Latin American and Caribbean markets. The revolutionary gaming trade show will set a unique opportunity to network and to enhance all gaming sectors.

Participants will attend only by invitation: 40 of the most respected gaming companies and 55 internationally acclaimed speakers are going to be part of a historic moment in the history of the LatAm and Caribbean gaming industry.

Kate Chambers, managing director of the gaming division at Clarion Events, sentenced: “As everyone is aware, we spent a long time talking with the industry to establish what it wanted from a new event  I’d like to make it clear that Juegos Miami has not set out to be an ICE or a G2E Las Vegas – that’s not what the market wants at this stage.  Instead, and borrowing the insightful words of Merkur’s Charles Hiten, Juegos Miami is a ‘unique event: not a trade show, not a conference, not a networking opportunity – but all of these things wrapped in a single package.’

Chambers added: “Our objectives are to provide the industry with an event which facilitates networking and delivers a refreshing mix of product, learning, training and socialising, all within a professional and dedicated environment. The decision to make Juegos Miami an invitation only event, with attendance limited to senior decision makers, has been well received and we have been really encouraged by the calibre of attendees, comprising many of the most influential business people, decision makers and regulators in the region, which is all very positive news for our exhibitor partners.

Borrowing the insightful words of Merkur’s Charles Hiten, Juegos Miami is a ‘unique event: not a trade show, not a conference, not a networking opportunity – but all of these things wrapped in a single package.’

“The exhibitor line-up is very strong, the learning programme and speakers are what I would describe as ‘stand-out’ and we have events such as the JCM Global LATAM Golf Classic and the Totally Gaming Academy courses. Delegates have taken over 1,000 room nights at The Biltmore and we are expecting to have representatives from a total of 42 nations with us in Miami, widely regarded as the number one destination for the Latin American community .

Our objectives are to provide the industry with an event which facilitates networking and delivers a refreshing mix of product, learning, training and socialising, all within a professional and dedicated environment.

“In the events industry you learn not to make hard and fast predictions – however, if the outcome is linked in any way to the commitment shown by the organising teams at both Clarion and at Urban I will be extremely happy!”
