Imperial Pacific postpones casino opening

The Saipan casino postponed its opening to the end of March.

Saipan.- The Saipan casino developed by Hong Kong based company Imperial Pacific International Holdings, will postpone its opening to the end of March. The Imperial Pacific Resort was supposed to launch its soft opening later this month.

Back in August, the company announced that they hoped to open the doors of its permanent casino resort by the Chinese New Year. The new gambling facility casino would feature around 200 to 300 gaming tables and 300 to 400 slot machines. The 350-suite resort is being designed by Steelman Partners LLP, which has been involved in the design of several large casinos in Asia and elsewhere. Imperial Pacific insists that the construction of the hotel is still on time to make sure that they will complete the process.

The temporary Imperial Pacific casino reported great results from November operations. The VIP rolling chip casino sector in the gaming venue generated US$1.7 billion last month. Casino VIP operation results represented a 4.6 percent year-on-year increment.
