GIG joins forces with Niké to enter the Slovakian iGaming market

Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) closed a supply deal with Niké, Slovakia’s largest betting operator.

Slovakia.- Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) has agreed a supply deal with Niké, Slovakia’s largest betting operator, ahead of the expected introduction of new iGaming regulations in the country next year. Niké has been operating in Slovakia since 1991 and was the first operator to open a betting outlet t with more than 900 betting shops throughout the country.

Slovakia is preparing to launch a new regulatory framework for gambling and Niké is likely to secure a new casino license early in 2017. The firm plans to operate online under the Niké.sk domain, with its online casino and sportsbook to be powered by the iGC platform.

“Through this agreement iGC is expanding its geographical reach to Slovakia and we are doing so with the number one player, Niké,” said Robin Reed GIG chief executive. “For more than two decades they have delivered a premium service through their network of more than 900 branches. We are excited that they have chosen iGaming Cloud as their platform provider, and as such are helping us pursue the vision of connecting the iGaming industry. With this agreement we have also reached our goal of signing 20 agreements by the end of 2016, almost five months ahead of schedule.”
