“G2E 2016 was truly a milestone event for Konami”

(Exclusive interview).- Konami Gaming shares with Focus Gaming News its experience at G2E.

Konami Gaming plays a major role at Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas in setting the path for the industry’s businesses throughout the following year. Konami took the opportunity to release innovative technology and its complete portfolio of gaming systems and services for worldwide casinos. Eduardo Aching, Vice President, International Sales at Konami talked about this year’s performance and shared the next steps of the distinguished gaming manufacturer company.

Konami Gaming has participated in several editions of G2E, how did the company perceive the progress?

Each year G2E Las Vegas is our largest, most impactful event. It continues to grow in attendance, educational value, creative diversity, and technical product depth. We met with hundreds of gaming professionals and executives from around the world, and they became the first people to witness our new skill-based product, multi-station games and casino systems innovations unlike anything else available to the market. The response was incredible and we look forward to bring these latest developments to the market.

What impact did Konami’s great diversity and new development products have during G2E?

Overwhelmingly, the reaction from visitors was outstanding. The expanded Concerto Collection was a big talking point for our customers. Each machine, Concerto SeleXion multi-game, Slant, curved Crescent, and extra-tall Stack, has a distinct benefit and purpose for reaching different kinds of casino players. Our original Concerto upright has achieved outstanding global reception and now we’re bringing those proven elements, such as the matte black finish and signature holographic lighting, to even more game formats. Whatever business challenges and objectives operators encounter for the coming period, they have a stable, reliable outlook for Konami’s diverse product lineup and how they can leverage that for their current and future customer needs.

The company has a strong presence worldwide, which markets confirmed their interest in your latest innovations at G2E?

In terms of skill-based and multi-station concepts such as Fortune Cup and Crystal Cyclone, all our customers expressed strongest interest, and we really had strong positive reaction across Konami’s product line from operators of many different market regions. Whether it’s traditional video slot product or emerging new concepts, Konami has diverse game types, play mechanics, and technology to provide operators across a variety of jurisdictions the flexibility to optimize their floor to best reach their unique market audience.

Whatever business challenges and objectives operators encounter for the coming period, they have a stable, reliable outlook for Konami’s diverse product lineup and how they can leverage that for their current and future customer needs.

With new products and expanded leadership team, which are the next steps of Konami Gaming?

We’re anticipating continued momentum coming out of G2E. The success of our Concerto machine has been a powerful driver, and now as we’re expanding Concerto to a collection of core product varieties, our sights are set on delivering that same success to customers through an array of new game formats and titles. These core concepts alongside emerging products hold a great deal of potential for Konami and its global customers.

Did Konami Gaming fulfill the expected goals at this year’s G2E?

G2E 2016 was truly a milestone event for Konami and its exclusive global distributors. We were thrilled to meet with so many of our outstanding customers and contacts around the world.
