Controversy over Revel Casino

As a Wall Street firm revealed the Revel casino was acquired by an American company, the current owner has denied it.

US.- The future of Revel Casino Hotel in Atlantic City continues generating controversy as the uncertainty of the business grows with further allegations. According to a Wall Street financial firm, the New Jersey casino was acquired by a Colorado firm, although the current owner of the venue, Glenn Straub, has denied it.

The statement revealed that the firm filed an agreement of sale with the Atlantic County Clerk’s Office in order to oficialise the acquisition attempt. The agreement includes the casino and the power plant, as Press of Atlantic City reported. The manager of Mile High Dice MGR is Bruce Deifik and he would become the manager of the TEN RE ACNJ is the acquisition gets the necessary approvals.

However, later this week Straub told The Associated Press: “No … way. Categorically, there is no deal.” Moody’s Investors Service insisted that the US$2.4 billion casino will reopen in May under the ownership of AC Ocean Walk LLC, a group controlled by developer Bruce Deifik. “If someone has a check, I do sell assets,” responded Straub, according to local newspapers. “We’re not stopping anybody from bringing a check in. If you want to buy it, come in and we’ll check you out. But nobody has.”
